Pre-Production #7

In our film, the setting of school provides a good soundscape to draw from for example we use chatter from other students to make it feel like a more live school and realistic. We also use dialogue between the different cast members to drive the plot and emotional beats. We also use that to pay close attention to the timing and audio levels during the editing so the lines are easier to hear and reactions are emphasized.

We also use thoughts to create a more intense, feeling of what the characters are thinking during and after they meet each other. I'm the editor so I also have to implement all the sound into the film to ensure that the audience can follow the characters experience and maintain a realism environment.

The soundscape is not only about the school setting in it feeling authentic. It's also about creating a more romantic element in the story through careful audio dialogue and timing.
